Fourth Embarrassing Moment of 2012
It may seem like I haven’t had an embarrassing moment in a long time. That is not the case. I’ve had a couple but haven’t had a minute to post them because it is March Madness. No, I am not in basketball, I am in Jazz Band and Vocal Jazz. It is Jazz Month. Therefore, madness occurs. I’ve had two clinics and a performance in March and we haven’t even gone to our festival or choral fest.
Anyway, March Madness plays a part in this embarrassing moment so I decided to kill two birds with one stone. Not only did I get to rant about Mach MADNESS (refer to first paragraph), but I can add another moment to my collection of awkwardness.
So, we had a mass (junior and senior) choir practice today – I know that it’s Friday and my only lunch off in the week but I am perfectly happy to rehearse anyway. *cue dramatic eye twitching* I was walking down the auditorium hallway and my friend, we shall call her Maria in this case, is walking in front of me. The entire choir is eating their lunch and getting ready just in front of us. Maria turns around, smiles really nice at me, and says loudly (because it is noisy with everyone chatting), “Hey! There you are. I haven’t seen you all day!”
*cue the warm fuzzy feeling because she was so happy to see me* I say (again, pretty loudly), “Yeah, hey, what’s up, Maria?”
She looks at me funny and I say, “What?” and turn around.
Our other friend, let’s call her Brittany, is walking right behind me. Maria wasn’t talking to me at all. She had quite a laughing fit when she figured out what had happened. So did the majority of the choir…
